Today our Upper Elementary students presented their thoughtful writing amongst a packed house of parents, siblings, peers, and teachers. This Authors’ Breakfast focused on celebrating the 5th Graders’ Autobiography Projects. Each 5th grader carefully selected one personal narrative story to polish and share at Author’s Breakfast. Stories included personal reflections on family, pets, hobbies, vacations, and future aspirations. Our 4th graders shared a realistic fiction story that they have been developing and perfecting over the course of the semester. Finally, some of the 6th graders opted to read one of the position papers that they submitted at MMUN, while others chose to read an original piece of fiction. This event provides students had the chance to build upon skills in public speaking, the chance to voice their own idea and build their confidence in future presentations.
Thank you to all who attended this morning. It was a wonderful event and we can not wait to see you all at the next one!
