On Monday, November 14th,  Riverbend families enjoyed an evening of moon watching, thanks to the celestial talents of Middle School teacher Angela Latona, who provided telescopes and a host of information on the rare occurrence of a “Super Moon,” which takes place when our moon is at the closest point to Earth in its orbit. Several other families brought their telescopes, as well, so that everyone had a chance to see the beauty of the moon up close. With lots of hot chocolate and high spirits, the event was a big success, and Angela is eager to hold another skygazing event in the coming months.
