Curiosity is sparked when Lower Elementary students are introduced to the story of the Big Bang. The teachers collaborate to share the story of the beginning of the Universe. This is followed up with a series of hands-on activities that allow students to investigate laws of nature. The work is always intentionally hands-on and imbued with a sense of wonder and awe. Students who are hearing the story in their third year of the cycle are invited to “listen carefully and think about what you understand this year that you did not understand when you heard the story before.”
