Montessori Model United Nations (MMUN) is a program that allows our sixth-grade students to participate in a simulation of the UN General Assembly. Students research global issues, represent different countries, and work together to find solutions. MMUN emphasizes Montessori values such as inclusion, collaboration, and consensus. Students develop skills in critical thinking, problem-solving, and communication. MMUN also offers opportunities for students to interact with UN officials and delegates from around the world. MMUN is an unforgettable experience that inspires and empowers young leaders.
Our sixth-grade students have been working on their preparations for this excursion all year long. Their preparation for MMUN allows them to hone their research skills as well as their writing and public speaking skills.
Wish our sixth-grade students good luck as they head to New York City next week, March 15-18. Look for their accomplishments and adventures on our Instagram and Facebook pages! You can also look for a recap of their adventures here on our Ravens Review once they return.
