Brinta is a teaching assistant in Upper Elementary at Riverbend. She has a BA in Literature from the University of Dallas, and she’s been teaching in Montessori schools for a few years. She has primarily worked with toddlers, and is happy to have the opportunity to work with older children in a Montessori environment at Riverbend. She loves the Montessori method for its capacity to meet each child as a unique and capable individual worthy of respect and appreciation. Being part of the Riverbend community has been an amazing lesson in the power and impact of positive, uplifting communities. Even in her first year at Upper Elementary, Brinta has been inspired and amazed by the children’s creativity and enthusiasm for learning.
When she’s not at school, Brinta loves to hone her hand embroidery skills, cuddle with her family’s parrot, and bake unnecessary things at unnecessary times. She also collect books with amazing alacrity. In her defense, she does eventually read them.
