Chris begins his first year at Riverbend as the Lead Teacher of the Middle School and Humanities teacher. With over 20 years of experience teaching middle school students, Chris’s enthusiastic style, wide base of knowledge, and access to community resources allow him to easily connect with his students, who are themselves the leaders of their Riverbend community. Chris values experiential learning and has led students on countless day and overnight trips throughout New England and across the country. Each summer he directs the Rocky Mountain Cross Country Running Camp in his former home state of Colorado. In his spare time, Chris enjoys running, cycling, reading about history, and spending time with his partner Kate and her family. He is a member of the Greater Boston Track Club and the current president of the Boston Chapter of the Vanderbilt Alumni Association.
