Janet joined Riverbend School in 2011, and worked as a Lead Primary teacher for many years before becoming the Director of Children’s House. She holds a Bachelor of Science Degree in Human Development and a Master of Arts in Education, both from Virginia Tech. She received her Early Childhood Credential from AMS in 2010 after training at West Side Montessori School in NYC, while working at an integrated charter Montessori school in Dobbs Ferry, NY.
Janet is a deeply caring leader who embodies a beautiful sense of integrity and devotion to others’ sense of belonging. Her commitment to ensuring all teachers, students, and families feel cared for and valued is present in all she does. Outside of school, Janet can be found spending time with her children Genevieve and Thomas, husband John, and dog Walter. You may run into her while antiquing, photographing nature, or finding the best iced-coffee and doughnut combination in MetroWest.
