Tuition & Financial Assistance

Riverbend is deeply committed to making tuition affordable for families choosing our nurturing Montessori environment. We understand the commitment a private education requires, and we’re actively working to make tuition more affordable and accessible for a diverse range of families. We believe that a Riverbend education should be within reach for all who seek a nurturing, hands-on learning environment that inspires curiosity, independence, and a lifelong love of learning.

2025-2026 Tuition Rates

  • Toddler Program (Half Day): $32,590
  • Toddler Program (Full Day): $38,880
  • Primary Program (Half Day): $26,990
  • Primary Program (Full Day): $31,400
  • Kindergarten: $32,050
  • Grades 1-3: $35,460
  • Grades 4-6: $37,170
  • Grades 7-8: $38,630

Applying for Tuition Assistance

For families applying to kindergarten through 8th grade, Riverbend School is proud to use Clarity to assess each family’s unique financial situation, considering assets, income, expenses, and debts shared in the application. This approach allows us to better meet families where they are, making a Riverbend education more accessible and tailored to each family’s needs.

  1. To get started, please create an account using Clarity.
  2. Follow the prompts to fill out the Clarity financial survey. Select “Begin My Application” and answer all the questions. The survey typically takes less than 30 minutes to complete, and it is mobile-friendly so that you can complete it anywhere. You are also able to save your progress and return at any time.
  3. At the end of the survey, there is a $60 fee to submit, and you can share your application with additional schools that accept the Clarity application for no additional charge. Simply use the dropdown menu in the application to select those schools.
  4. Return to your dashboard after you complete and submit your Clarity application, as Riverbend School may require you to upload additional tax documentation.

Deadline: The deadline for completing the financial survey is January 6th for returning families and February 1st for new families. (Riverbend accepts Clarity financial surveys at any time of the school year. If applying after the February 1st deadline, please complete the Clarity financial survey within one week of your student admissions application.)  

Support: If you need support during the process of completing your application, there is in-app support available through the “Help” button in the bottom left of the screen, as well as email and phone support at [email protected] or 206-210-3752, in both English and Spanish. The application itself is also fully translated into Spanish.

Why We Are Switching to Clarity – FAQ’s

Riverbend has chosen Clarity to better serve both our current and prospective families. We are confident that this change will make applying more simple, transparent, and accessible for families, ensuring a smoother experience as they navigate this important step.

Clarity offers a streamlined, mobile-friendly survey that can be completed in as little as 20 minutes. Additionally, Clarity removes the need to upload your 2023 W2 and 1040 by transferring them directly from the IRS. This reduces the amount of information you must manually enter and makes it possible to complete the survey quickly and efficiently.

Riverbend School takes the privacy and security of your personal information very seriously. Clarity is certified for both GDPR and SOC2 and uses enterprise-level security standards including end-to-end encryption of all personally identifiable information. Just as in prior years, if your financial circumstances have not changed, you will not see significant changes in how much Riverbend can assist you. If you have any questions about your individual circumstance, please contact us.

Yes! Clarity’s survey is fully mobile-friendly so you have access wherever you are.

You must submit your full completed survey by February 1 if applying during the typical admissions season.

Yes, along with the student’s application, all families must fill out the Clarity survey to the best of their ability including the Non-US Tax Filer Verification upload. If you live in Canada, you will be prompted to upload your T1, T4 and Notice of Assessment.

Key Dates

Financial Assistance for Returning Families:

  • January 6 – Clarity financial survey, including all required tax documentation, must be completed through Clarity.
  • February 6-10 – Decisions regarding financial assistance are sent to returning families.
  • February 15 – Signed grant letter, enrollment contract and tuition deposit are due back to Riverbend.

Financial Assistance for New Applicants:

  • February 1 – Clarity financial survey, including all required tax documentation, must be completed through Clarity.
  • February 1 – Admissions applications are due as well.
  • March 10 – Decisions regarding financial assistance are sent to new families along with their acceptance letter and contract.
  • April 10 – Signed tuition agreement, enrollment contract and tuition deposit are due back to Riverbend.
