We are conducting a climate assessment this fall and winter at Riverbend School. A climate assessment is designed to create a process where our community can learn more about our individual and collective experiences related to DEI at Riverbend and provide helpful recommendations for shaping a more inclusive community for all.
Over the next few months, Dr. Liza Talusan will be working onsite and virtually to facilitate community-wide focus groups, to observe the work we do at Riverbend, and to provide overall support in examining our practices and policies related to diversity and inclusion. Your perspective and experiences at Riverbend will help us identify an approach to DEI that fits our climate and culture. We invite you to participate in a virtual Parent/Caregiver focus group on November 1 from 6-7 p.m., that will be designed and facilitated by Dr. Talusan with the express purpose of having you share your perspective and experience. Dr. Talusan will then synthesize the results of these focus groups in order to help us chart a course forward.
