Wei has been a faculty member at Riverbend School since 2020, teaching Mandarin Chinese to students in grades 1 through 8. Her journey with the Riverbend community began in 2010, when she launched an auxiliary Chinese program at independent schools in the greater Boston area. With over 15 years of dedicated experience teaching Chinese language and culture to students from preschool through high school, Wei has honed a pioneering, hands-on approach that seamlessly blends traditional methods with innovative techniques. Her dynamic lessons are thoughtfully tailored to diverse learning styles and levels of experience, helping students deepen their linguistic and cultural understanding.
Wei holds a Bachelor’s degree in Engineering from Shanghai Jiao Tong University, a Master’s degree in Business Education from Marshall University, and a Master’s degree in Accounting and Taxation from the University of Georgia. Before joining Riverbend, she served as a publishing executive and language coordinator for educational and publishing companies.
Beyond the classroom, Wei enjoys reading and exploring different languages, continuously expanding her own horizons and passion for learning.
