Luiz Miguel Camargo has been a Riverbend parent for 3 years and is currently a member of both Finance and Advancement committees. Miguel has 17+ years of experience in drug discovery having worked at Merck & Co, Novartis institutes of Biomedical research. Currently, Miguel is a Director of External Innovation at UCB, a Belgium Biopharma, where he is responsible for identifying key and disruptive technologies via forging partnerships with academic institutes, biotech companies, as well as venture funds. Miguel received his BA in Human Physiology from Boston University, his MSc in Bioinformatics from the University of Manchester, and his Ph.D. in Bioinformatics from the University of Cambridge, UK. He grew up in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil.
