Riverbend School is made up of students from many towns throughout the Boston Metrowest area, including Natick, Wellesley, Dover, Needham, Framingham, Sherborn, Wayland, and several others.
Students from the young age of 18 months through the preschool years attend school in our Children’s House, where they learn practical life skills in a supportive environment. As students progress to our Montessori elementary and middle school programs, they’re part of a diverse community that fosters a lifelong love of learning.
What Our Families Say
During my time here, I’ve grown immensely—with the help of my classmates, friends, and teachers. One of the most meaningful parts of my experience was how naturally I became part of the Riverbend community. Whether it was after-school activities, jewelry and metalworking, or the stage and pep bands, I always felt like I belonged. That sense of inclusion gave me the confidence to be myself and contribute meaningfully to the community.
Riverbend was the perfect place for me. It allowed me to gain confidence in myself and explore many diverse interests. Now, as a college student, I am continuing to pursue those diverse interests and am majoring in geosciences and anthropology. I also hope to be a teacher one day. The community at Riverbend is another strength of the school. The support and friendships I gained helped me grow and learn about myself. I am so thankful for my time at Riverbend.
Our plan had been to come to Riverbend just for Kindergarten, but our daughter’s experience in the Maple Room turned us into lifelong Montessori ambassadors. At Riverbend, both our children became insatiably curious, fascinated by the world around them, nature lovers, and deeply invested in the community. Our time at Riverbend has set them up for success as lifelong learners.
Our child is thriving at Riverbend, and his teachers are absolutely outstanding. He is so proud to show us his work each week, and he loves the deep dives into different topic areas. We are also impressed with the action steps the school is taking on diversity, equity, inclusion, and justice work. We feel happy and lucky to be a part of this school community.
