Family Fundays

Riverbend’s Family Fundays offer a unique opportunity for parents and caregivers to connect, share a meal, and build community, while children play together and forge new friendships.

Each year in the fall and the spring, Riverbend hosts a Family Funday for each division—Children’s House and Upper School. These events, co-led by PE teacher Coach K and Head of School Brooke Hopkins, offer a unique opportunity for parents and caregivers to come together for a meal and build community, while children have fun with their friends. Siblings are invited to Family Fundays too!

We are a unified community, but each division has its own distinct needs and strengths. Therefore, while all Family Fundays share a common purpose, each event is thoughtfully tailored to meet the specific needs of its division.

Family Fundays by Level

The Children’s House Family Fundays are designed for children and families to enjoy games and activities in a carnival-style setting, with the gym and quad transformed into a vibrant play space. A community meal is provided.

The Upper School Family Fundays give 1st through 8th grade families the chance to bond through a variety of activities, such as lively team games and a delicious meal.

Check the Riverbend Calendar for this year’s date, time, and registration information (if applicable).
