Riverbend’s Montessori Teacher Training Fellowship is a one-of-a-kind opportunity for early career teachers. Fellows are introduced to the world of Montessori education at our toddler through 8th grade school in the Boston Metrowest area. Our beautiful South Natick campus and fellowship house are the perfect setting to launch a meaningful career as a Montessori teacher.

The Two-Year Journey
Throughout the two-year fellowship program, participants gain increasing confidence and responsibility as they master the skills of a Montessori educator. Their experience at Riverbend prepares them for a rewarding career in the classroom.
The Fellowship House
The Fellowship house is adjacent to our satellite nature campus in beautiful South Natick, Massachusetts. The house accommodates three to four Fellows, featuring private bedrooms and shared living and kitchen space in a recently renovated two-story home. It’s an ideal location for new teachers to connect with each other throughout their Fellowship experience.
The Fellowship is unique in that it provides housing, one-to-one mentorship from an experienced Montessori teacher, and the opportunity to become a certified Montessori teacher. This one-of-a-kind program was developed in order to strengthen the pipeline of certified Montessori educators.
Montessori schools focus on the development of the whole child. Montessori-trained teachers provide an individualized learning experience for each student in multi-age classrooms. Each day features extended work cycles where students engage with unique Montessori materials. Learn more about Montessori education here.
