International Festival

The International Festival is a treasured tradition at Riverbend! It’s the culmination of a semester-long research project where students study one country from a selected continent and share their research with the community.

May 6 & 7, 2026

The Lower Elementary International Festival is an interdisciplinary project encompassing literacy, research, and presentation skills. It allows students to dive deep into the geography and culture of their chosen country. What makes this event particularly exciting is the collaborative effort across disciplines. Working with Art, dLab, and Music faculty, students are ready to offer an immersive and engaging experience for themselves and their families.

Beyond the classroom, this event bridges age gaps. Upper Elementary and Middle School students join the event, providing invaluable feedback and fostering a sense of community across grade levels. It’s an opportunity for older students to step into mentorship roles, modeling leadership and mutual growth.

Parents are encouraged not only to attend but to actively engage with the presenters. By interacting with students beyond their own children, parents offer a wider network of support and encouragement, enhancing the experience for all involved.

Lower Elementary Families: Please refer to communications from your child’s teacher outlining the two available time slots for parent attendance.

Primary and Kindergarten Families: This is an opportunity to experience the Lower Elementary environment and preview what’s to come for your student in coming years! We hope you’ll join us.
