Alison Ayekoloye is a dedicated educator whose love of learning has shaped a rich and varied career spanning over 13 years in schools across India and the United States. Her academic background is as diverse as her professional path, with a degree in Ancient Near Eastern Archaeology, a minor in Geology, certifications in TESOL and paralegal studies, and ongoing Montessori training. Alison has served in many educational roles—including classroom teacher, tutor, teaching assistant, and boarding school staff—demonstrating a deep commitment to student development, language learning, and cross-cultural education.
Her journey in education began in the foothills of the Himalayas, where she taught English and mentored students at Woodstock School and at the Tibetan Homes School both in northern India. Since then, she has contributed to a wide range of school communities in Massachusetts, including public schools, charter schools, and Montessori settings. Whether assisting students in special education, supporting immigrant families through legal advocacy, or learning new languages herself, Alison constantly pursues knowledge and connection with others. Her work reflects not only a passion for teaching but also a lifelong curiosity and a profound respect for different cultures and learning styles.
She is thankful for her husband David, a Nigerian lawyer who is also licensed in the US, and for their son Jesse, who is a student in our Primary Program. You can find them together gardening, playing soccer, riding bikes, cross country skiing in the winter, supporting David’s father’s church and community service work in Nigeria, and at home cooking great Nigerian food including some excellent jollof rice.
