
Anne grew up in Sea Cliff, NY before moving to Wayland at age 10. She earned her Bachelor’s Degree in Legal Services Education at the University of Massachusetts, Boston. After working as a Paralegal and later as a Commercial Property Manager, she returned to U. Mass. Boston for a graduate degree in Elementary Education. She began teaching in 1997 and taught primary grades in public school for 15 years.
As a life-long equestrian, her next professional training was with PATH, International earning her license as a Certified Therapeutic Riding Instructor. Following that, she earned a second certification as an Equine Specialist in Mental Health and Learning. Anne founded and operated a small non-profit from her home, where she ran Therapeutic Riding and Horsemanship programs for differently abled children for over ten years.
Anne returned to elementary school as a Special Education Aide for 12 years while continuing her riding programs at her farm. She came to Riverbend in the Fall of 2024 as a Floating Substitute for the Children’s House. In January 2025 she became a Toddler Teacher. Most recently Anne completed a course designed for Assistant Teachers in Toddler and Primary Montessori classrooms.
Anne has two adult children, Jess in Lowell, Mass. and Nate, in Orono, Maine. Anne enjoys living in a 200+ year old carriage house with her cat, Louie, surrounded by nature and wildlife. In her free time she enjoys visiting with family on the Cape, gardening, cooking, reading, walking, and x-c skiing.
